You’ve done a great deal. You’ve also learned to talk around it, to make it smaller so it’s easier to hand to someone. Bio asks a few quiet questions, one at a time, and does the writing: three lengths, in your voice, yours to keep. Nothing is saved when you close the tab.

The first ten minutes
  1. Hit begin and answer one question at a time. It follows up where there's more to draw out. Or just say it out loud.
  2. Have an old bio or a LinkedIn page? Paste it for a head start. It mines the facts, not the tone.
  3. Read the draft and tell it what's off in plain words. It revises until it sounds like you.
